Robert J Daniel who was born in Stafford in 1944, moved to Canada as a child and briefly worked at De Havilland Aircraft as an Apprentice Architect, he then joined a Summer Stock Theatre, became fascinated with the arts and was soon accepted to study Stage Design in Montreal at the National Theatre School of Canada.
Working as a Scenic Artist for local Opera and Ballet companies, Daniel' travelled and worked across Canada to support his own artwork through jobs in Theatre and Film. This eventually led to an opportunity to go to Paris where he collaborated with the acclaimed director Jerome Savary of the Grand Magic Circus. While there he produced drawings, paintings and sculptures meeting some of the great personalities and established artists of the time.
