A transcendental sea and skyscape. Using a simple complimentary colour palette and subtle tones and textures. A soft point of light nearing the horizon attempts to draw the viewers gaze into the scene with contemplative motive.
The texture is subtly worked with palette knife and brush with small amounts of cold wax to add body to the paint. The light rendered softly illuminating the clouds and land indistinctly.
Colours ares mixed and blended on the canvas, with little mixing of paint on the palette.
It is hoped this work is contemplative and the one-point of light might offer a single point of focus on which to meditate.
